MEC brings smile on Road accident survivors

Northwest MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management Sello Lehari on Tuesday visited children hospitalised due to road accidents at the Job Shimankana Tabane Hospital in Rustenburg.

MEC Lehari handed over educational gifts and said it is important that society play a role in protecting children.  “We want to give these children hope and a sense of inclusion during a time when they need it the most”.

Lehari added that the Department is intensifying all the efforts to deal with recklessness on the road. He appealed to motorists to ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy and be complaint with the law.

Acting CEO of the Job Shimankana Tabane Hospital, Eve Mogorosi  thanked the Department for their generous donation. “It is clear that our child patients are cared for not only here at our hospital but also outside by our leaders in society.”

Mogorosi said this validates the efforts of frontline workers who put the lives of their patients first on a daily basis.
