A disabled Tebogo Lephalala aged 32 from Marble Hall in Limpopo is asking people to help repair her wheelchair.

Reaching out to Just News Africa, she said she is struggling to move around as her motorised wheelchair she is being using for 5 years is currently giving her problems. She said batteries don’t last longer and  the tyres are old.

“I am pleading with anyone who fixes wheelchairs or with an old wheelchair to donate to me as it becomes difficult for me to move from one place to another without assistance, because I am staying with my 70 year- old mother.”

Just News Africa reached out to the provincial department of social development and it promised to visit Lephalala on Thursday Spokesperson Winess Tiva said “As the Department of Social Development we have immediately dispatched a team of social workers to the area for them to conduct an assessment and also finding ways to advise or assist Tebogo Lephalala.”

On the kind of wheelchair Lephalala is using, Tiva said the social workers will report back on it, however, as things as stand, they do not offer motorised wheelchairs.

For those who can assist Lephalala, they can call her on 0787817263.
