210 Covid-19 deaths,7 552 new infection cases

A total of 873 679 COVID-19 cases have been reported with 7 552 new cases identified.

Over the last 24 hours, two hundred and ten people died in South Africa after contracting coronavirus, Eastern Cape 95, Free State 6, Gauteng 10 , Kwa-Zulu Natal 23 and Western Cape 70.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 23 661.

So far, 764 977 people have recovered from COVID-19 in South Africa.  Addressing the nation on Monday evening, 14 December 2020, President Cyril Ramphosa highlighted that a failure to adhere to health measures put in place brought a second wave.
