Over the last 24 hours, one hundred and nine more people died in South Africa after contracting coronavirus, 36 from Eastern Cape, Free State 12,Gauteng 5, Kwa-Zulu Natal 12, North West 17 and Western Cape 27.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 21 644.
The number of detected Covid-19 cases is 792 299 with 2 259 new cases identified.
