Over the last 24 hours, thirty-eight more people died in South Africa after contracting coronavirus, 17 from Eastern Cape, Gauteng 1, Limpopo 5, KwaZulu Natal 2, Northern Cape 7 and 13 from Western Cape. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 21 477
The number of detected Covid-19 cases is 787 702 with 2 563 new cases identified.
People are urged to adhere to safety measures in place, wearing masks and maintaining social distance and to always sanitize their hands or wash them with soap and water.
