The police in Limpopo have arrested a 33-year-old “pastor” who is also calling himself a traditional healer, on Sunday 08 November 2020 for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl high school learner in Sekhukhune.
It is alleged that a learner went to this “traditional healer – pastor” for consultation on the 18th of September this year, however, in the process of that consultation, the suspect reportedly raped her in his home.
This entire situation had confused and terrified the learner, realised at a later stage that she has been tricked and raped by the man she trusted to heal her.
The provincial spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the victim reported the matter to the police on Saturday 07 November 2020 and a case of rape was opened. The initial investigations started and the suspect was traced and arrested on Sunday afternoon.
The Police investigations are still continuing and the suspect will appear before the Sekhukhune magistrate court soon.
