The spokesperson of the Hawks Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi tendered his resignation on Monday.

The reasons for tendering the resignation is cited as personal.

In October, News24 reported that Mulaudzi allegedly received 3 million from the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) to establish a sports centre in Limpopo.

Democratic Alliance (DA) laid a complaint to police Minister Bheki Cele. Mulaudzi denied any wrong doing.

Colonel Katlego Mogale said the National Head has accepted the resignation with immediate effect.
