Pirates Through To MTN8 Final

Orlando Pirates has knocked Kaizer Chiefs out of the MTN 8 tournament with 5-0 aggregate score on Sunday afternoon at the FNB stadium.

The two scored goals on the day by Pirates saw it getting to the final of the tournament. The advantage was always with the Bhakaniyas after scoring 3 goals in the first leg of Wafa Wafa at Orlando Stadium last week.

Chiefs had to score 4 goals on Sunday and make sure Pirates did not score, however, that was not the case as Chiefs failed to score a single goal in both two Soweto Derbies.

The draught for trophies at the Naturena keeps on growing the Amakhosi got kicked out of the MTN 8. Chiefs still struggles to score and defending.

Pirates will now face Bloemfontein Celtic in the final of MTN8 after Siwelele knocked out Supersport United 2-1 aggregate score on Saturday afternoon at 12 December with Celtic playing at home.  

Venue and kick-off time will be announced.
