A call for Entrepreneurs to register for the National Empowerment Fund’s SMME Entrepreneurship training programme

The National Empowerment Fund (NEF) has opened a call for entrepreneurs to join its SMME Entrepreneurship Training programme. The NEF’s Pre-Investment Business Unit is offering two SMME Entrepreneurship Training Programmes through Mint Fresh Advisory Services, it’s implementation partner.

The NEF provides funds to black entrepreneurs and groups with the aim of facilitating access to finance in support of Broad-Based BEE in terms of government legislation.

The NEF also offers non-financial support to black entrepreneurs in South Africa. The aim is to support and develop black businesses from all corners of South Africa, especially in rural, peri-urban and in townships.

 CRITERIA:

1. A 6-week START-UP Programme – for enterprises that have been in operation for a period of between 0-2 years. Even you have not yet registered a business, you can participate.

2. A 10-week Emerging Entrepreneur Programme – designed for businesses that have been running for 3+ years.

Duration of the Programme:

• Two days every week for the duration of the training programme.

Dates:

• START-UP Programme starts on – 23 November 2020 until 25 January 2021 (December break included)

 Due to Covid 19, as a precautionary measure, the programme will be offered online via the Learning Management System, and at selected venues with limited participants.

The training is offered free of charge to the entrepreneurs. It is a high-quality programme, just because it is free it does not mean it is cheap.
