Over the last 24 hours, 726 823 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in South Africa with 1 371 new cases identified since the last report.
Health Ministry reported 135 new COVID-19 related deaths: 22 from Eastern Cape , 107 from Gauteng, 4 from Western Cape, 2 from Free State .This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 19 411.
The number of tests conducted to date is 4 842 516 with 19 543 new tests conducted since the last report
The recovery rate is 90% meaning that 655 330 people have so far recovered.
People are urged to observe social distancing and wash their hands with soap and water or alcohol based sanitizer.
