Agrizzi granted bail

High Court in Johannesburg granted Former Bosasa Chief Operations Officer Angelo Agrizzi bail.The bail amount will be equal to the total value of his overseas assets.

Agrizzi’s will have to hand over his passports to the investigating officer by 3 November and report to the Douglasdale police station every Friday.

Investigative Directorate spokesperson Sindisiwe Twala said Agrizzi must also disclose all his assets and hand over the title deeds to his Italian property.

“He is further barred from leaving Gauteng or coming within 150m of South Africa’s international points of departure.”

Agrizzi is currently at a private hospital, receiving medical treatment.

Agrizi failed to disclose that between 11 December 2018 and 19 January 2019, before and while appearing before the Zondo Commission of Enquiry into State Capture, he transferred R11.98 million and his wife transferred R11.99 million to off-shore accounts.
