The police in Hanganani in Limpopo arrested a 49 year-old-school principal for allegedly plotting to kill his 43-year-old wife.
The suspect who stays at Bungeni village allegedly wanted a hitman to kill his wife. This was allegedly in exchange for a sizable payment.
The wife got information on the 16of July 2020 regarding the alleged plot to kill her. Provincial Police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said they were informed and they started with the investigation.
Provincial Police Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba condemned in the strongest terms the continuous acts of gender-based violence across the province.
The husband will appear before the Hlanganani Magistrates court soon on charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
