Health Ministry reported 164 new COVID-19 related deaths, 46 from Eastern Cape , 52 from Gauteng, 5 from Limpopo, 41 Free State, 1 from Mpumalanga, 2 from Northern Cape, 9 and from KwaZulu Natal. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 18 656.
Over the last 24 hours, 706 304 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in South Africa .
The number of tests conducted to date is 4 581 346 with 15 366 new tests conducted since the last report
The recovery rate is 90% meaning that 639 568 people have so far recovered.
People are urged to observe social distancing and wash their hands with soap and water or alcohol based sanitizer.
