Suspects arrested for dealing with Abalone

Four suspects aged between 19 and 38 suspects will appear at New Brighten District court on Monday, 12 October. They were arrested on Thursday with abalone worth approximately R320 000 at Ferguson Township, Port Elizabeth.

“ In the early hours of Thursday Serious Organised Crime were following up on information regarding a syndicate that was dealing in shelled and de-shelled abalone.

 A decision was taken to raid the house and during the search, 1453 wet and dry abalone units and three cell phones were seized.” Said Hawks spokesperson Lwando Zenzile

The investigation is still continuing.
