Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo granted an order to summon Former President Jacob Zuma to appear before State Capture Inquiry.
Zondo said the summons might include, ( for Covid 19 reasons) an option for Zuma to testify via video link if necessary, instead of him coming to the venue.
Deputy Chief Justice said he doesn’t have an issue with Zuma appearing via a link, as long as he will be in South Africa.
He said on each one of those days, the secretary of the commission is authorized and directed to sign and issue a summons in terms of the commission’s act, requiring Zuma to appear before the commission.
Zondo said he is satisfied with the submissions of the legal team that this is a matter in which he should run the application. He said he will issue summons for Zuma to appear before Zondo Commission at 10:00 am on the 16th to the 20th November 2020 .
