Over the last 24 hours, 685 155 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in South Africa and 1 913 new cases have been identified.
The total number of reported COVID-19 related deaths in South Africa currently stands at 17 248.
The total number of tests conducted to date is 4 318 514 with 23 583 new tests conducted since the last report.
Health Ministry reported 145 new COVID-19 related deaths, 1 from Eastern Cape, 41 from Gauteng, 11 from Mpumalanga, 11 Free State, and 8 from Western Cape, 7 Northern Cape, 24 from Limpopo and 42 from KwaZulu Natal.
The recovery rate is 90% meaning that 618 127 people have so far recovered.
People are urged to observe social distancing and wash their hands with soap and water or alcohol based sanitizer.
