The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Gwede Mantashe on Sunday 4 October announced a decrease in Fuel costs . The decrease in fuel prices this month is attributed to the Rand appreciating against the US Dollar.
The price of octane 93 petrol will go down to 23cents per liter and octane 95 petrol will decrease by 32cents per liter. Diesel will decrease by 90cents and illuminating paraffin will decrease by R1.01.
These changes are set to be effective on Wednesday 7th October.
