A 58-year-old African National Congress (ANC)Ward 27 Councillor in the Greater Letaba Local Municipality in Limpopo has appeared in Bolobedu magistrate’s court on Monday for allegedly raping a 14-year-girl in the Mokwakwaila policing area outside Tzaneen.
It is allegedly that he offered a teenager a lift on Thursday, 01 October 2020 at about 12:00.
The Police said he then drove into the bushes next to Rampepe village where he allegedly raped her. He thereafter reportedly took her home, gave her money and a cellphone and told her not to tell anyone.
He was remanded in custody until 14 October 2020 . Police investigations are still continuing.
