Ramaphosa to meet NEHAWU

President Cyril Ramaphosa will engage in discussion with the National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU) on Friday, 25 September 2020.

The meeting follows the union’s submission of a memorandum to the President. They want an 8% wage increase for front line workers fighting COVID-19 and better working conditions.

Nehawu leadership picketed outside the Union Buildings in Pretoria on 21 September 2020.

Nehawu’s national leadership said  they are tired of government’s silence and wanted to be taken seriously by President  Ramaphosa.

Minister for the Public Service and Administration Senzo Mchunu and Deputy Minister of Health Dr Joe Phaahla will also participate in the meeting which will be held at the President’s official residence.
