The Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairperson Dr Irvin Khoza has on Thursday announced that the pay tv company, DSTV is the new sponsor.
DSTV is taking over from the ABSA on a 5 year deal. The PSL will be known as the DSTV Premiership. ABSA sponsored PSL for 15 years.
DSTV already holds PSL broadcast rights through its sports channel SuperSport and also owns a team that plays in the league, SuperSport United.
The new season which is called DSTV Premiership is set to start in October.
