Confirmed: Hunt Joins Amakhosi

After speculations on who will take the reign at the Kaizer Chiefs as a head coach, Amakhosi finally confirmed that it has successfully brought Gavin Hunt to the Naturena Village on a three year deal.

Chiefs says Hunt brings a wealth of experience since he joined professional football in 1981.

So why Hunt was hunted? Chiefs replied by saying “We looked at our situation and our needs before deciding on Gavin,” confirms Chairman Kaizer Motaung.

Motaung went on to say Hunt brings with him an abundance of experience, having coached about fives teams in the Premiership. There is success wherever he has coached.

Hunt has won the league on four occasions and qualified for the CAF Champions League, and this “will be required as Amakhosi will participate in the African club competition in the new season after finishing second in the domestic league.” Said Motaung.

The announcement of the new assistant coach will be made in due course.

Hunt will meet the team for the first time next week when the squad returns to training in preparation of the 2020/21 season.Motaung we welcomed coach Gavin Hunt to Amakhosi. “We wish you the best of luck and success with us!”
