Health Ministry confirmed that 651 521 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in South Africa and 772 new cases have been identified in the last 24 hours.
One hundred and forty two people have died in the country after contracting Corona-virus. This brings the death toll 15 641.
The total number of tests conducted to date is 3 940 217 with 11 603 new tests conducted since the last report.
Health Ministry regrettably reported 16 deaths from KwaZulu Natal, 4 from Eastern Cape, 12 from Gauteng, 11 from Northern Cape, 13 from Western Cape, 19 from Mpumalanga and 67 from Limpopo.
The recovery rate stands at 89.5%, meaning that 583,000 people have so far recovered.
