The assault case against Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema and former EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has been postponed to the 13th of October for a trial date.
The pair briefly appeared at the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday morning relating to an incident that happened at the funeral of struggle icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in 2018.
Malema and Ndlozi are accused of assaulting a police officer at the burial.
The EFF said the policeman denied them entry into the final resting place of a struggle stalwart. They said all they wanted was to enter the graveyard.
