#NotInMyNameInternational has postponed a picket planned for 12 September outside SAFA House in Johannesburg. The picket was part of an ongoing campaign, calling for the reinstatement of Ria Ledwaba at SAFA.
SAFA fired Ledwaba in June 2020 during the association’s meeting held at Nasrec.
Ledwaba, together with vice-president Gay Mokoena were shown the door for what was termed as a violation of the association’s constitution.
Ledwaba is alleged to have written a letter to the Minister of Sports Nathi Mthethwa to intervene on Mokoena’s report, which questioned the leadership within SAFA under Danny Jordan.
Secretary General of # NotinMyNameinternational Themba Masango said because of load-shedding at SAFA house, there won’t be anyone there to receive their memorandum. Therefore, the picket is postponed to Saturday the 19th of September.
