After being accused of the looting of VBS Mutual Bank in Limpopo, the Provincial ANC’s Deputy  Chairperson Florence Radzilane and Provincial Treasurer Danny Msiza are back at their respective positions.

In a Special Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) meeting held virtually on Tuesday, 08 September, the provincial leadership received a report from the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the African National Congress on the decision to allow the pair to resume their duties.

However, this did not just happen, the NEC embarked on a process of consultations with various stakeholders in the province before implementing the decision.

“The PEC accepts the decision of the National Executive Committee and welcomes the two comrades to continue from where they left off. This will help to further the mandate of the last Provincial Conference where these comrades were elected together with the entire collective,” the party said in a statement.

The party is confident with the pair returning and “their resumption of duties and responsibilities will, to a large measure, assist in our efforts to bring about stability in the ANC in the province.”

Florence and Danny attended today’s meeting and “recommitted themselves to serve the organisation and people of the province with utmost humility.” It said.

The ANC vowed that it will continue with its programme to build a strong, united and vibrant organisation with renewed focus and vigor to realise the dream of a better life for all.
