Retail health giant clicks has won an Interdict preventing the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) from barring Clicks stores to operate nationwide. The party has also been ordered to stop inciting violence against Clicks employees and customers. The Interdict was granted by the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.
The EFF had said that will prevent 880 Clicks in South Africa from carrying on with business operations after it had published an advert which was supporting discriminatory actions by retail hair brand Tressame. The red berets on Monday followed on it’s promise to stop operations at Clicks stores. Smilingly Clicks management retaliated with an Interdict application, which has now worked in it’s favour.
Clicks CEO Vikesh Ramsunder said all suspended employees will go through a fair and unbiased disciplinary hearing, overseen by an independent outside chairperson.
Ramsunder said Clicks will be delisting and removing all TRESemmé products from shelf with immediate effect and will be replacing the gap with locally sourced haircare brands, of which Clicks has an extensive range already.
