The Department of Correctional Services and South African Police Services have launched a manhunt for three (3) convicted inmates from Leeuwkop Correctional Centre. The prisoners escaped in the early hours of Friday 4 September 2020. The inmates ‘names are Ashiphe Mfusi Zinyateli, Reuben Khemi and Tshepo Mogawane.
The department doesn’t have a picture of the third escapee, Reuben Khemi.
An investigation is being conducted, and the circumstances relating to the escape will be known once the investigation has been concluded.
The Department is appealing to the public to assist with any information that may lead to their re-arrest.
