538 604 Covid-19 recoveries In SA

South Africa and the rest of the world is still battling with Covid-19 pandemic. People are urged to wash their hands with water and soap or alcohol-based sanitizer and to always maintain social distance.

Over the last 24 hours, South Africa recorded 625 056 confirmed COVID-19 with 2 505 new cases identified.

The total number of tests conducted to date is 3 674 872  with 21 902 new tests conducted since the last report. Health Ministry regrettably reported 47 new COVID-19 related deaths- 7 from Eastern Cape, 16 from Gauteng, 3 from KwaZulu Natal, 7 from Western Cape and 3 from Free State, 11 from Mpumalanga.

This brings the total of reported COVID-19 related deaths to 14 028. The number of recoveries currently stands at 538 604 which translates to a recovery rate of 86% .
