Moroka Swallows FC climbed back to the Premiership after a beautiful 3-0 victory over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM), at Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa on Sunday.

The first goal was scored by Given Thibedi as early as the seventh minute and Kagiso Malinga doubled the score for the Dube Birds with a second strike a few minutes later.

Malinga put the score to 3-0 with his 11th goal of the season in the second half as Swallows won automatic promotion and were crowned GladAfrica Championship winners.

The three goals meant heartbreak for Ajax‚ who could only manage a 3-0 win over Mbombela United, when a 4-0 scoreline would have been enough for them to grab the automatic promotion.

Swallows then took the spot by a difference of 1 goal.

It is a remarkable achievement for coach Brandon Truter‚ who joined Swallows to replace Zeca Marques with the club positioned 13th having only recorded one win in their opening five games of the season.

Ajax and TTM will play in the play-offs with a club that finishes 15th place in the PSL.
