The Police in Thohoyandou in Limpopo have launched a manhunt for the suspect(s) after a 90-year-old Muvhulawa Mudzunga and her daughter Caroline Edzisani Muvhulawa aged 54, were found brutally murdered in their home at Lunungwi village on Sunday, 16 August 2020.

It is alleged that the other daughter of a 90 year old woman made calls but there were no answers.

“The neighbours were allegedly alerted by the other daughter of the elderly woman after she became unsettled when several phone calls that she made were not answered. The police were summoned to the house and on arrival, they found two bodies in a pool of blood with open wounds.

Mojapelo said preliminary investigations revealed that the heartless killings might have been committed the previous day.

The motive for the killings is unknown at this state but police investigations are underway.
