ANC Mourns the passing of MacCollen Jack

The African National Congress (ANC) and people of the Northern Cape are mourning the sudden passing of MEC for Education MacCollen Jack. He passed away on Wednesday, the 12th of August 2020 at  Mediclinic Gariep in Kimberley.

Jack was serving the government and people of the Northern Cape in the Provincial Executive as MEC for Education.

He previously served on the ANC Regional Executive Committee of Pixley ka Seme  in various capacities, including as Treasurer, Secretary and Chairperson. He held the position of Regional Chairperson for more than 10 years.

He was sworn in as a Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL) in 2013. He served as Member of the Executive Council (MEC) in the following portfolios: Transport, Safety and Liaison, Health and Finance, Economic Development and Tourism.
